Residence P E
The homeowner is a city woman with a passion for cooking. Her top space requirements include a kitchen for stir-fry and light meal preparation, as well as an office area that allows her to work anytime as part of her daily routine.
The primary source of the natural light for the site comes from the floor-to-ceiling window on the east-facing balcony. We removed the partition wall of the centrally-located bedroom, and utilized the open visual space of the office area to allow light to flow in from another floor-to-ceiling window. This created a living space with abundant natural light.
The 180-degree swiveling TV cabinet reorients the direction of the TV wall, linking the living room, office area, and dining room. Additionally, by creating a lighting scenario where each space complements the others, the lighting and functionality of the three spaces are interconnected, amplifying the perception of spaciousness and openness in the space.
